It has been another busy week of sport for Albyn pupils. Last Tuesday our 1st XI and U15 Football teams travelled up to Gordonstoun in what was our first competitive away fixture in over 2 years. It was great to see both teams back in action, the 1st XI played some exciting football and had some great chances but they fell to a 3-1 loss. The U15's also had some good chances to score but they lost 4-0. We are looking forward to the return fixtures against Gordonstoun at Milltimber this coming Tuesday (5/10).

This week also saw netball fixtures return with our senior teams taking part in training matches against RGC down at the Beach Leisure Centre. The girls played exceptionally well and it gave them much needed game time before the Scottish cup fixtures start after the October holidays.

Our hockey teams had three very competitive fixtures this past weekend. Our 1st XI had a combative 1-1 draw against St Margaret’s, our 2nd XI went down to a 4-0 loss against a strong Granite City Wanderers team and our U14’s also lost 3-0 to St Margaret’s.

Lastly, Rhys and Kai Crawford were representing Scotland at yesterday’s Mini London Marathon. Both ran very well with Kai finishing in 17th position but a special mention must be made to Rhys who finished in 3rd in the U15 category.

Well done to all pupils who have taken part in Sport over the last week and we look forward to another busy week of sport this coming week.
